All recycled polymers

Polyvinylbutyral (PVB)

PVB is usually used for applications that require strong binding, optical clarity, adhesion to many surfaces, toughness and flexibility.

It is prepared from polyvinyl alcohol by reaction with butyraldehyde. The major application is laminated safety glass for automobile windshields.

(Linear) low-density polyethylene (LLDPE)

LLDPE scrap has penetrated almost all traditional markets for polyethylene. It is used for plastic bags and sheets (where it allows using lower thickness than comparable LDPE), plastic wrap, stretch wrap, pouches, toys, covers, lids, pipes, buckets and containers, covering of cables, geomembranes, and mainly flexible tubing.

Polyurethane foam (PU)

Polyurethanes are used in the manufacture of nonflexible, high-resilience foam seating; rigid foam insulation panels; microcellular foam seals and gaskets; durable elastomeric wheels and tires (such as roller coaster, escalator and skateboard wheels); automotive suspension bushings; electrical potting compounds; high performance adhesives; surface coatings and surface sealants; synthetic fibers (e.g., Spandex); carpet underlay; hard-plastic parts (e.g., for electronic instruments); and hoses.

Polyethylene terephthalate (PET)

PET is the most common thermoplastic polymer resin of the polyester family.

It is used in fibers for clothing, containers for liquids and foods, thermoforming for manufacturing, and in combination with glass fiber for engineering resins.
